Calculator Developer

Noel Cheeseman, Equanim Systems

Noel is president of Equanim Systems, working with organizations to reduce energy use in buildings through a disciplined approach of setting strategies, priorities and management systems for optimal performance and ongoing improvement.

Recently, Noel helped build Enerlife Consulting into a market leader of performance-driven energy reduction tools and management consulting for commercial office, hospital, multi-residential, school board and municipal property owners and managers.

Before, he was chief operating officer for an e-commerce start-up and was COO of Alex Informatics, a media server company recognized by Profit Magazine as Canada’s fastest growing company in 1995.

Noel’s renovated house was a finalist in the 2012 Green Toronto Awards for Energy Conservation. Noel serves on REALpac’s Energy Benchmarking Committee, LEED Canada for Homes TASC committee and served on the LEED Development Committee of the Canada Green Building Council. He is an expert reviewer for Sustainable Development Technology Canada investments and is a director of a renewable energy company.

Jiri Skopek and Neil Barratt, ECD Jones Lang LaSalle

Jiri Skopek and Neil Barratt of ECD Jones Lang LaSalle were design contributors of the EcoLiving Home Energy Savings Calculator. ECD Jones Lang LaSalle are also the original creators of the Green Globes and BOMA BESt assessment methodology as well as the original energy audit software that was used BOMA Toronto Conservation Demand Management program to evaluate energy retrofit potential.

Paul Caverly and Jeff Anttila, MyHaven GreenVision Homes

Paul and Jeff were invaluable contributors for many of the upgrade costs. Paul has been the principal of MyHaven GreenVision Homes for 9 fulfilling years. MyHaven GreenVission has successfully managed projects ranging from small renovations to $10 million plus multi-unit residential projects. Paul Caverly sits on the green renovators committee through BILD. He and his staff stay current on new technology and materials by attending industry–led forums and educational seminars on a regular basis. MyHaven Green Vision Homes is a member of BILD, Renomark, OHBA, CHBA, CaGBC and is soon to become LEED certified. Under Paul’s leadership, MyHaven GreenVision Homes won the BILD award for design and construction of best renovation over $300,000.

Mike provided his expertise on all the mechanical equipment both technical and costing information.
